The Atlanta papers this morning are talking about the visit Bears Free Agent DT Ian Scott paid to their team recently. They feel he will end up resigning with the Bears. Meanwhile, the Chicago papers are saying Scott may be agreeing to a deal with Atlanta.
In much better news, Joe Theismann lost his job on MNF. THANK YOU ESPN!!!! Best decision they’ve made since adding MNF to their lineup.

There’s talk that Moss could come to Green Bay as part of a trade involving KGB or Corey Williams. Since Kabeer is limited to mainly a 3rd down player these days, I’d love to see that deal work through. Come on Thompson, trade for that guy! What’s the worst that could happen? You either a) get a great receiver that would never normally be on the market or b) you get a pain the butt that costs you money that would’ve been available this year anyway and cut him next year. You really can’t lose. The fans will get over the stupid fake mooning incident as soon as he catches a 60 yard TD.

Wow, I am just rocketing my way into the modern day. Today, we ordered a new TV. Westinghouse 37″ LCD 1080p HDTV. 1080p!!! NFL in High Def! Video games in HD! I’m so excited I could puke. Also ordered a new up-converting DVD player… so if anyone needs a regular progressive scan model for cheap, I’ve got one!
Anyway, I’ll update this when everything arrives. Should hopefully be here by Thursday. I’ve gotta go pick up a new HD/DVR cable box in the meantime.

I’m back over on my own server. I don’t know that this move will mean anything… but what the hell, I was bored.
The NFL season officially begins tomorrow! The fun has already started. The Lions got a pretty sizable boost in their team by trading Dre Bly to the Broncos for Tatum Bell, George Foster and a 2nd day draft pick. Assuming Kevin Jones is healthy this year, those two will make a really nice halfback tandem. The Lions also have a decent improvement to the offensive line, as Foster is big enough to likely succeed outside of the Denver blocking system.
Beyond that… what an offseason for defense this will be. Joey Porter just got released by the Steelers, Adalius Thomas is going to be out there, so is Nate Clements. Patrick Kerney will probably get a decent deal too.
Not only that, but Drew Bledsoe is officially a free agent!
